The Best Ways To Utilize The Difference Between JEE And NEET

What is the difference between JEE and NEET? The main and basic difference is that jee is for engineering students and neet is for medical students. The difference between neet and jee concerning the subject is that only one subject changes, and the test all remain the same. In the NEET exam, biology is asked, and physics and chemistry stay the same. Whereas in jee exam maths is asked replacing biology. Jee and neet exams are both being conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). The reason for both papers to be conducted by the same governing facility is because of the transparency and fairness during the paper. NTA pays special attention to the smooth and fair conduction of the paper. We are going to discuss what is the difference between neet and jee by explaining each differently.

About JEE

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam, which helps to get into college with a background in engineering. There are two different examinations held named as JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced. Both these exams are being conducted by NTA (National testing agency). JEE Mains is held twice a year in which the best marks are selected from both the exams, and based on that candidate is qualified for JEE-Advanced. JEE helps to get into government colleges. We have 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 26 GFTIs. Along with this, they help to provide admission to private colleges based on the JEE scores.

About NEET

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It helps pursue any undergraduate courses in the medical field by helping to enter college. The college can be government or private. NEET applies to all the colleges in India. It offers courses like MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH. It was formerly known as AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test). NEET is also conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).

What is the difference between JEE and NEET?

JEE and NEET exam papers can be differentiated in various aspects. Those aspects are subjects, eligibility criteria, toughness, score range, etc., which will help us to differentiate between jee and neet exam.

Based on subjects

JEE and NEET exam paper has a similar portion in physics and chemistry. All the subjects asked in the JEE and NEET exams are based on the 12th standard.

But the subjects that differentiate between JEE and NEET exams are biology and mathematics. In JEE, mathematics is asked, whereas, in NEET, biology is asked.

These two have completely different genres, and hence the difficulty level of the paper thus changes accordingly.

Based on toughness

JEE and NEET exam paper has their limits. Paper is not tough or easy. It is the preparation that concludes those statements. Although for the sake of requirement, these two have different levels that make them encouraging at most stages.

NEET – Moderate

JEE Advanced – Hard

This toughness can be justified by the number of questions and the time to solve them. JEE Mains consists of 90 questions, and the time is 3 hours to solve them, whereas, in NEET, 200 questions are asked, in which only 180 must be attempted, and the time provided is 3 hours 20 mins in a total of 200 minutes to solve NEET.

Sometimes the difficulty level of the JEE exam is set very high; hence, for each year, the toughness changes significantly.

Based on attempts

JEE and NEET exam papers are now based on the attempts. JEE exam paper has the attempt till three years of passing 12th class. After that, you are not eligible for the JEE. And for the NEET exam, your age must be 17 years, and you can try for a lifetime. There are no restrictions like the JEE exams.

Which is easier to crack, NEET or JEE?

We have answered the question of the difference between neet and jee. We have also judged paper based on the toughness level. In that, it is justified that JEE is easier to crack when compared with NEET. However, JEE Advanced is tougher than NEET.

To justify that JEE is easy than NEET is because of the seats. There are many limited seats in the medical colleges compared to engineering colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

JEE and NEET exam papers are completely different when discussing eligibility criteria.

Candidates must be passed or equivalent to 10+2 with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as their core subjects. This is the eligibility criteria for the NEET exam paper. The candidate’s age must be above 17, and there is no upper age limit for the NEET exam paper.

Candidates must appear or pass 10+2 to qualify for the JEE exam paper. The upper age limit of the JEE exam is three years after completion of 10+2.

What is the difference between JEE and NEET being answered in detail? We have provided all the necessary information regarding JEE and NEET exams.
